Mastercard has appointed Dheeraj Raina as its new Vice President and Head of Integrated Marketing and Communications (IMC) for Southeast Asia. This strategic move aims to leverage Raina's extensive marketing experience to drive strategic marketing, partnerships, and activations across the region, encompassing 10 markets. Based in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Raina will lead a team covering brand, consumer marketing, product marketing, sponsorships, and communications.
His role involves close collaboration with business leads and country managers to facilitate business growth and enhance consumer engagement through Mastercard's established marketing platform, Priceless.
Safdar Khan, division president of Mastercard Southeast Asia, expressed confidence in Raina's ability to contribute to the company's success. With over 18 years of marketing experience, Raina has held leadership roles at major media agencies, including CEO of Dentsu Malaysia and Managing Director of Mindshare Malaysia.
Before joining Mastercard, Raina was the Chief Marketing and Strategic Communications Officer at Gentari, Petronas' clean energy solutions subsidiary, where he led marketing, branding, and strategic communications efforts.
He looks forward to collaborating with partners, customers, and stakeholders to create an inclusive ecosystem and drive regional digital transformation.
