Farm In The City Reigns In 10 Years Of Bringing The Joys Of Nature To Malaysians

It was a day of fun, sun and lots of furry shenanigans at the 10th anniversary celebration of Farm In The City (FITC), a beyond the ordinary public farm and petting zoo located at Seri Kembangan.

The tourist attraction honoured a significant milestone in its history, looking back on the past decade since its establishment in providing hundreds of thousands of Malaysians with an avenue to learn more about the animals that are living among us and the importance of preserving our natural habitats and the critters that call them home.

Speaking on the significance of Farm In The City’s resilience to become a household name in the community over the last 10 years, FITC’s founder Dato’ Allan Phoon, stated:

“Throughout the 10-year journey, there definitely were challenges in operating Farm In The City. However, with that said the challenges and difficulties only made us better – we learnt and developed better ways; and even identified other opportunities that have enhanced and expanded our business arena.”

Not your ordinary farm, FITC takes pride in being completely free of cages, allowing all the animals to roam free in special enclosures which mimic as closely as possible to their natural surroundings. Upon visiting, its a unique experience being able to watch all the animals interact with each other in an open space and offers an up-close-and-personal treat for animal lovers.

To commemorate the occasion, Farm In The City is inviting everyone of all ages to join in the festivities with a three-day fun-filled carnival from the 8th to 10th of October 2022.

Guests can expect a myriad of activities to enjoy and stand the chance to get to know the native wildlife through a spectacular animal parade, and meet the latest addition to the family, Bubu, the pygmy buffalo, and all his fellow furry critters.

Visitors can look forward to include a magnificent magic show, mingling clowns and a special mascot appearance, and many more. Try your luck at the game booths then when you’re in need of nourishment, head on over to the food trucks to grab something to bite.

Additionally, FITC will also be having a special discount promotion on tickets for its lovely patrons. Adults get to enjoy RM10 off their ticket price while children will be able to gain entry into the enclosure at only RM10 for a limited time only.
