VMware Names Sarene Lee New Country Manager For Malaysia


Cloud computing and virtualization technology company VMware Inc has recently appointed Sarene Lee as the new Country Manager for Malaysia. This role will see her drive business strategy and development as well as customer and partner relations for VMware to accelerate the adoption of digital transformation in the country.


Paul Simos, VMware vice president and managing director of Southeast Asia and Korea, said thatt Malaysia has made digitalisation a top priority and is actively encouraging companies to transform their businesses to remain relevant and to boost the country’s digital economy.


“I am confident that with her wide experience and deep knowledge of the Malaysian market, Sarene will play a pivotal role in helping organizations in Malaysia embrace innovation so that they can scale faster and reach their full potential.”


The MBA holder in Finance and Computer Information Management and Bachelor’s holder in Marketing Management from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona brings with her an expertise acquired in a career spanning over 25 years.


Prior to joining the company, she held key leadership positions with IBM as General Manager of IBM Cloud with IBM Malaysia and Microsoft in Malaysia with extensive experience in leading teams, growing market share and revenue, driving customer relations, and building partner ecosystems.
