Uzma Bhd, through its subsidiary Uzma Kuala Muda Sdn Bhd, has successfully obtained a RM225 million Islamic financing facility to support its ambitious 50 megawatt (MW) large-scale solar project.
The financing has been extended by Affin Islamic Bank Bhd and Export-Import Bank of Malaysia Bhd (EXIM Bank), highlighting their confidence in Uzma's project. The solar project, aligned with the government's Large Scale Solar 4@MEnTARI (LSS4@MEnTARI) program, aims to contribute to Malaysia's renewable energy goals by harnessing solar energy to generate clean electricity.
