TAKADA Asset Management Strengthens Team with Former FGVH CEO Dato Mohd Emir Mawani Abdullah as Director and Country Manager for Indonesia


In a significant move to enhance its strategic capabilities in the Southeast Asia region, TAKADA Asset Management, a prominent global financial house, has appointed Dato Mohd Emir Mawani Abdullah as Director and Country Manager for Indonesia. With an impressive corporate and leadership background, Dato Emir Mawani is expected to bring valuable expertise to TAKADA.


Dato Emir Mawani is widely recognized as an authority in economic and government administration reform, with a distinguished career spanning the Middle East and Asia. Notably, he served as the CEO of Felda Global Ventures Holdings Berhad (FGV) during its groundbreaking initial public offering (IPO) in 2012, which was the second largest IPO in the world at that time, second only to Facebook.


Prior to his tenure at FGV, Dato Mawani had a successful career in the banking and financial industry. He held several senior positions at one of Malaysia's largest financial institutions, including Group Chief Financial Officer and Head of Global Banking. This experience equipped him with a strong financial acumen and strategic insight that will undoubtedly benefit TAKADA Asset Management.

He has successfully led and closed numerous financing transactions in the Equity Capital Markets (ECM) sector and specializes in facilitating and structuring tailored investment banking transactions within the Debt Capital Markets (DCM).
