Microlink Sees Leadership Change With Ramlee Bin Abdullah Appointed Group Chief Executive Officer

Microlink Solutions Berhad has recently undergone a change of leadership with the appointment of Ramlee Bin Abdullah as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, replacing Mr Chia Yong Wei who is stepping down from the role after six years at the helm.

Having joined the OMESTI Group in January 2019 as Head of Sales, Ramlee holds a track record of more than 30 years in the Banking & Financial Services sector in the Asia, Middle East and Africa regions.

He has held senior positions with top tier organisations that include Oracle Corporation, Sunline, HSBC Bank Malaysia, Silverlake Systems and Temenos. With hands-on international experience in multiple territories, he has managed sales and business operations in the Middle East [Kuwait], Asia and China, as well as Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam and Laos.

In March 2022, he transferred to Microlink to head the Public Sector business pillar and has since been instrumental in significantly raising the Group’s profile with organisations in that sector.

“We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ramlee Abdullah as our new Group CEO who takes over from Chia Yong Wei,” commented Dato’ Jagan Sabapathy, Deputy Chairman of Microlink. “Ramlee’s extensive experience in the ICT industry serving a wide range of Financial Services and public sector organisations will be invaluable to us in delivering the next phase of our growth.”

“Ramlee’s credentials together with the in-depth technical expertise of our business stream teams will ensure that the Group’s strong and steady performance achieved over the last few years continues. It will also ensure that our expansion into new geographical markets and technology sectors is achieved in line with our strategic plans,” added Dato’ Jagan.

Ramlee will be well-supported by the strong contingent of C-Suite leaders that have been put in place to head these business pillars, complemented by their respective teams. Together, they will continue to drive the business forward, under Ramlee’s leadership.
