Malaysia Airlines Bhd parent company, Malaysia Aviation Group (MAG) has announced its part in a regional partnership with Singapore-based omnichannel Buy Now Pay Later (BNPL) platform, hoolah to bring seamless and efficient payment options to travellers.
This alliance will enable travellers in Malaysia and Singapore to book and enjoy their getaway via Malaysia Airlines online and pay for it over a course of 3-months in an interest-free instalment with hoolah. This option will soon be available in Hong Kong, although no word has been given regarding when this will be.
Malaysia Airlines Group Chief Marketing and Customer Experience Officer, Lau Yin May has mentioned that this collaboration marks the company’s first partnership with a BNPL provider in Asia. hoolah was recently added as a payment option for the company’s travel and lifestyle platform, Journify.
"This partnership with hoolah bolsters our continuous effort to build an integrated payment solution that will help businesses securely accept payments across all channels to reach different customer segments and capitalise on the e-commerce boom," said Aung Kyaw Moe, CEO and Founder of 2C2P. “Our goal at 2C2P is to ensure that we constantly innovate to meet evolving business and consumer needs.”
Arvin Singh, CEO and Co-Founder of hoolah also commented on the partnership stating, "With more consumers looking for a flexible, transparent, and highly personalised way of paying online, our partnership with 2C2P will empower merchants and enhance BNPL adoption in the region. 2C2P's expertise in payments acceptance in Asia is a great complement to the hoolah ecosystem, and we're excited to embark on this journey to support merchants and take their businesses to greater heights."
