Contract logistics solutions, DHL Supply Chain has named Andries Retief as its new Chief Executive Officer for the global market leader's South East Asia cluster, covering Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines and Indonesia.
Reporting directly to Terry Ryan, CEO of DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific, Retief was most recently CEO for DHL Supply Chain Central & Eastern Europe based in Poland, which saw double-digit growth for three consecutive years in revenue and profitability under his leadership.
"Andries has shown exceptional leadership and brings a unique perspective, having worked across Europe and Africa, where he drove transformational change in the markets he led," comments Terry Ryan, CEO, DHL Supply Chain Asia Pacific.

Retief started his journey with DHL Supply Chain in 2009 as Financial Manager in South Africa and Managing Director of DHL Supply Chain East Africa in 2016 before assuming his position as CEO of DHL Supply Chain, Central & Eastern Europe in 2019.
With a career spanning 18 years across two continents, he has successfully delivered accelerated growth in Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary and Slovakia, by winning and implementing transformational new business in transport, e-commerce and automotive sectors.
